Open the jar lid. → Grab a sliced bread so that the wide side faces upwards. → Scoop some jam with the jam knife. → Evenly spread the jam on the wide upper side of the sliced bread you’re holding enough to cover the bread area. → Put down the jam knife. → Grab the sliced bread without any jam on and lay it on top of the sliced bread applied with jam.

Do you see how an action you thought was so simple contains so many details? When you’re ordering a computer and not a person, you need to instruct specifically like the above.


You must set a sequence and specify every step.

Your own curriculum made by yourself

Just follow along these instructions!

1. Pick a topic


Pick a topic of the day.


Let’s make our home’s youngest, Boogie, who’s walking leisurely in the fishbowl.



2. Observe


Observe the moving direction or distinct features in detail.


What if Boogie’s sleeping? Search a turtle on the Internet and look at videos or images is a good idea as well.



3. Draw


Draw Boogie on a sketchbook while imagining the figure you want to make.


It’s fine to draw with a simple pencil, but since it’s an image you’ll keep referring to during the making, adding some colors will be even better!



4. Prepare the moving cubes first


Prepare the cube that’s key to movement in advance.


The turtle leg that seems to swing back and forth is similar to the Angle Cube, and the neck tilting left and right looks similar to the Rotation Cube. Let’s first prepare 4 Angle Cubes and 1 Rotation Cube.




5. Make the frame with cubes


Make the turtle’s frame with cubes while referring to your sketch


After placing 5 cubes and 1 Window Cube prepared earlier, you can see the empty trunk. As function is unnecessary, we contemplated using 2 Sub Cubes, but then changed one to the Motor Cube since it would be fun to have a spinning shell.


Make sure you put the Bridge between the cubes! Check the moving shape as well by pressing the manual button in between the making.



6. Decorate into a block toy


Think of it as adding skin onto the frame and decorate the rest into a block toy.


Because Maunzi is fully compatible with Lego, you can freely use any block that is compatible with Lego. Add to your heart’s content by choosing colors according to the sketch and choosing sizes fit for the height.

7. Have plenty of fun


Manual play, Maunzi RC, Maunzi LAB, Scratch.

Anything is okay.


Have your kid move the self-made Boogie in a way that is most enjoyable for him or her.
